How To Launch A Product (& Make 6 Figures)

Leonie Prendeville

Michelle Hext, Author, Speaker and Founder of The Art of Kicking Ass Elegantly, kicked ass more elegantly than ever last week as she secured a whopping $66,000 worth of her programs through her 1 day launch event.

The Art of Kicking Ass Elegantly is Michelles brand and book name, and driving female entrepreneurs to achieve huge business growth and staggering profit is her game. Through her brand new mastermind programs, Michelle trains female business owners to grow a polished 6 figure business, from creating a kick ass brand and a signature program through to launch success and optimum growth.

With such incredible results from her launch event, we asked Michelle to share her secrets to launching, selling and securing those big money slots. Heres what she told us:

WHAT WAS THE REAL WOW FACTOR IN THIS BIG WIN FOR YOU?

That selling a $22,000 program was no more difficult than selling my $7,500 program.

Price is irrelevant when you can show value and paint a clear picture of the outcome.

WHEN DEVELOPING PRODUCTS, WHATS YOUR TOP TIPS TO OTHERS?

Know your market and know what problems they want solved more than anything else, then create your program as a solution to that problem. Ensure that the solution is within your zone of genius so you can feel confident that you can deliver on your promises.

Have an angle the market is flooded with information, products and programs so you must stand out from the crowd and become a red flag in a sea of black for your niche.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR PRODUCT LAUNCH SECRETS?

Never let your initial vision leave you.

There will be doubts, there will be setbacks and you will second guess everything but the way to allay this is through constant action that makes progress towards that vision.

Often we start with an idea we are totally in love with and have no doubt will succeed and then we take a few hits.

You must stay the course.

Figure stuff out.

Whatever you do, dont stay stuck.

I used highly targeted facebook ads and this worked well for my brand, if this is the path you wish to go down, get good at understanding if youre ads are working or not so youre not wasting money.

Its important to know your market here too, you must create ads that speak to your tribe and attract their attention in a nano-second.

PRICING: IS THERE A GOLDEN NUMBER?

Im not sure about this. In my head from day one I had decided this program was a $20,000 program because of everything it had to offer, but then I increased it to $22,000 because I knew as I was confident in my product, the number wouldnt matter.

HOW DO YOU KNOW IF A PRODUCT WILL BE RIGHT FOR THE MARKET?

Im all about my gut and when I first launched the brand my gut told me it was a winner plus I had nothing to lose. My Honourable Martial Arts Entrepreneur Brand was doing well and this new brand was something I had wanted to test for a little while. Trying out the new brand was low risk and cost me very little to test; the tickets to the 1 day event ($297) covered all of my event & marketing costs as well, including printing and added extras along the way. In addition, when I launched my Facebook page it went nuts and the feedback was incredible, so that was enough for me to go with it.

OTHER THAN HAVING A HOT PRODUCT, WHAT OTHER ELEMENTS ARE VITAL TO A SUCCESFUL PRODUCT LAUNCH?

Be your brand.

Put your best foot forward as your brand ambassador and always represent your brand as well as you can.

Be authentic and sell from the heart rather than just to make money.

On the day of the event I took a minute to remind myself that even if nobody signed up that day I would enjoy every second anyway through delivering content I was excited about in amazingly luxurious surroundings.

If the joy in what youre doing fades or you become needy it shows and has a negative impact on everything you touch.

WHATS YOUR FAVOURITE WAY TO CELEBRATE A BIG WIN FOR YOUR BUSINESS?

Its a small thing but has become a significant ritual because it signals true success;

when the event is finished I buy my PA and I the most expensive glass of champagne on the menu and toast to a job well done, allowing myself a moment to feel proud of what Ive achieved.

WHATS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS?

Im totally in love with my brand, I think it is a true reflection of me and it fits me like a glove. The thing I love so much about the program is that it takes raw businesses (and business women) and transforms them into highly polished 6 figure enterprises (and entrepreneurs) that are a true reflection of the woman herself and are based around her zone of genius so she is 100% confident in every aspect of her brand, her business and her ability to deliver.

How long does it take to complete KPI?

The programme is built around a 12-month foundation year. This is the time it takes to build your full authority ecosystem. From there, many clients continue to compound their results year on year. Within 24 hours of joining, you'll get full access to the KPI platform. In your first week, you'll attend a group onboarding session where you'll learn how to navigate the platform, access your resources, subscribe to our event calendars, and book into your first Value Canvas Kickoff.

How long has Dent been doing this?

Over 5,500 businesses across 60+ industries in EMEA, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific have gone through our accelerators.

What is your mission?

Our mission is to produce Key People of Influence who stand out, scale up, and make an impact in the world.

What makes this different from programmes?

The biggest difference is that KPI is a production environment, not a course. You don't watch videos and hope something sticks. You build 15-17 real assets of influence — your book, your scorecard, your productised offer, your lead generation system — in structured 10-day sprints with live coaching. Every asset goes to market as you build it. Real feedback, real results, real revenue impact. And you're doing it alongside 5,500+ founders who've been through the same methodology.

Is Daniel Priestley involved in the programme?

Yes! Daniel is our CEO and Cofounder. He is one of the key minds behind every aspect of the KPI Accelerator. He occasionally runs workshops himself.
