6 Essential Oils for Reducing Stress

Claudia Hofmaier

Stress can create havoc with your health. Research has indicated that 80% of all sicknesses are due to prolonged periods of stress.

Essential Oils have been used for thousands of years for physical and emotional healing, as by breathing in the scent of pure essential oils, the limbic system the brains centre of emotions and memory are activated. So what better and easier way to reduce your stress than with breathing Essential Oils.

Particularly for those of us who are entrepreneurs and often neglect to take care of ourselves, the below tips on how to use Essential Oils can be very beneficial in increasing your energy level, keeping you focused during the day or helping you to relax at the end of the working day. And they just take one to two minutes.

And naturally, its crucial to take care of you. Because we all know deep down that we need to take care of ourselves before we can help others. (And as entrepreneurs, we love to help others!)

So below are my top six essential oils for balancing body and mind, while keeping STRESS at bay!

Frankincense

Frankincense is uplifting, increases inner strength, and helps to keep a positive outlook on life. In ancient times it was more valuable than gold.

How to use: In the morning apply one or two drops on your brainstem, crown and third eye. Diffuse during mediation or simply use as your daily skin care. Frankincense is rejuvenating for the skin too!

Lavender

Calming and soothing for the mind and body.

How to use: Put a couple of drops on your pillow or diffuse to have a restful and deep sleep.

Peppermint

If stress causes problems with your digestion, use Peppermint which is very supportive to the digestive system, and promotes healthy bowel and gut function.

How to use: Apply a drop over the stomach to aid digestion, or apply on temples to ease head tension.

Ylang Ylang

Rich, sweet, floral scent. Its very calming, relaxing and soothing.

How to use: Diffuse to increase romance in the air. Massage into the scalp and hair to increase the appearance of healthy, shiny hair.

Stress Away Blend

This blend includes Copaiba for supporting healthy digestion, lime for calming the nervous system, cedarwood to relieve nervous tension, ocotea to support healthy blood sugar levels, and lavender for relaxation and calming.

How to use: Apply many times during the day.

Joy Blend

Joy blend contains rose, geranium, ylang ylang, bergamot, and many more uplifting essential oils. The fragrance brings joy to the heart, enhances self-love and confidence. When diffused it creates a warm and comforting atmosphere

How to use: Use instead of perfume and apply a couple of drops behind the ear many times during the day or diffuse at home after a long day in the office.

Be sure to follow the correct instructions for the use of essential oils. Do check the specific recommendation on the bottle of the oil.

Our mission is to produce Key People of Influence who stand out, scale up, and make an impact in the world.

What makes this different from programmes?

The biggest difference is that KPI is a production environment, not a course. You don't watch videos and hope something sticks. You build 15-17 real assets of influence — your book, your scorecard, your productised offer, your lead generation system — in structured 10-day sprints with live coaching. Every asset goes to market as you build it. Real feedback, real results, real revenue impact. And you're doing it alongside 5,500+ founders who've been through the same methodology.

Is Daniel Priestley involved in the programme?

Yes! Daniel is our CEO and Cofounder. He is one of the key minds behind every aspect of the KPI Accelerator. He occasionally runs workshops himself.
